Why Foster? Foster care is the temporary placement of children in a safe, nurturing family when their own parents are unable to care for them. Our agency serves children who are abused, neglected, abandoned and struggling to heal and grow without the support of a family. On any given day, approximately 15,000 of Georgia’s children find themselves in a situation where they are unable to live with their families. These children are waiting for the security, stability, love and sense of belonging that only a family can provide. You can make a life changing difference by teaming up with GCAC of Georgia to give these children the future they deserve. Our dream is that every child will find a loving family and a place to call home. GCAC of Georgia seeks foster parents who will not only attend to a child's physical needs, but will also nurture these children emotionally, socially, academically and spiritually. We offer a tremendous opportunity for you to open your heart to children in our community. You can make a difference in the life of a child by offering hope and encouragement as a foster parent. Not only will the lives of children be touched, but yours will certainly be changed as well. One can leave no finer legacy than to change the world one child at a time. GCAC of Georgia believes that every child deserves to grow up in a loving family and that as a team, we can strengthen families.
