Our Team

Supporting our mission is a team of compassionate foster parents and dedicated staff. We actively recruit foster parents who seek to give children a chance for a brighter future. Foster parents participate in a licensing process that includes training and assessment as to their financial, physical and emotional stability. GCAC of Georgia’s foster parents are truly partners of the child welfare team and are actively involved in implementing the hopes and dreams of Georgia’s foster children. Our parents support the “Whole Child” approach to parenting by

  • Providing the physical need of their children
  • Seeking to motivate the children intellectually through tutoring or other needed educational services
  • Strengthen the child’s self esteem and social skills through extracurricular activity involvement
  • Addressing the emotional and behavioral health needs of the child through professional counseling
  • Providing an environment where the child can grow spiritually

All GCAC of Georgia staff hold Master’s Degrees and have vast experiences of working with children and families facing challenging situations. The passion the staff share for children and healthy families is evident as they approach each case individually providing the child with every chance to grow. The staff works as a team with the foster parents to secure services needed for the children while providing support all along the way. Our team of professionals provide personal attention to our foster families and work to develop a warm and welcoming relationship. We provide 24 hour coverage and are responsible to the needs of our families.
