Why Foster? Foster Parent Roles & Responsibilities Support For Our Foster Parents Foster to Adopt How to Help?

Foster to Adopt

Fostering typically involves a foster child returning to his or her birth parents as part of the child’s care plan. The birth parents are required to participate in an action plan to improve their parenting and home situation for the parent/child reunification. There are occasions where these plans are not completed or for some other reason the parental rights are terminated allowing the child to be placed for adoption. It is at this time that a child may be moved toward a foster to adopt situation allowing the foster parents to adopt. GCAC of Georgia can support foster parents through the process of adoption.
